Stirfresh has been shortlisted for the Rural Business of the Year category of The Courier Business Awards 2015
Now in their third year, The Courier Business Awards recognise outstanding businesses within the area served by The Courier newspaper. Rural Business of the Year is a new category this year and Stirfresh are delighted to be one of three companies shortlisted.
Recognising the diverse agricultural sector in East Central Scotland, this category is intended to reward companies involved in agriculture, agribusiness, agritourism, and food production. Key criteria include: the commitment to supporting rural community, demonstration of suitability & environmental awareness, diversification & innovation, commercial success and / or evidence of growth, and commitment to local procurement.
Judges for this year's awards are Richard Neville, Editor of The Courier, David Smith, Managing Partner at Henderson Loggie, Chartered Accountants, who are sponsoring the awards, Jackie Waring, Founder & CEO of Investing Women, Nick Kuenssberg, Chairman of Scott & Fyfe and Social Investment Scotland, Jim Pettigrew, Chairman of Clydesdale Bank, and Philip Long, Director of V & A Museum of Design Dundee.
The awards ceremony takes place on Friday, 27th November from 6.30 pm at Fairmont, St Andrews and we look forward, with great anticipation, to the final decision for the Rural Business of the Year category.Back to all news
